Preecey Epic Fundraiser, 28th September 2019
Two bands, Clur & the Cox, and Bewildered, made up of current and former Rock Project Encore students took to the stage at a fundraiser this weekend to raise money for Stephen Preece, who's cancer treatment is unfortunately not available on the NHS. The Fundraiser was a roaring success and the bands played brilliantly!!
A total of 2,424 pounds and 77 pence was raised and donated to Stephen! A huge thank you to everyone that took part, and to Sonia, one of our Rock Project moms, who organised the whole thing in just a few weeks!!

To see videos of the bands performing, head over to our Facebook or Instagram pages!

Star of the Week Bear, 28th September 2019
Today Dylan brought Gracie, the 'Star of the Week' Bear from school to visit Rock Project! Well done Dylan for getting Star of the Week at school! It's given us some good ideas and we're thinking about bringing aboard a Rock Project Bear for Student of the Week!

First Sessions Back! 4th, 5th and 7th September 2019
After a long summer break, it was fantastic to be reunited with returning students, and have lots of new faces join us!
We had some great songs to kick things back off! Wednesday Encore came back with Fortunate Son - Credence Clearwater Revival, Thursday Encore rocked out to Sharp Dressed Man - ZZ Top, the Juniors had a fun time with I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett, and Seniors loved bumping up the distortion for Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous - Good Charlotte.

Encore Gig 21st July 2019
We had an amazing gig at The Station in Cannock at the end of last term. All the students were absolutely incredible and put on one hell of a performance!!
We had several bands play including Bewildered, Clur and the Cox!, Flunts, Get Ya Coat, WTF and The 7 Black Hearts!
The setlists had some absolute classics on there from Metallica - Enter Sandman, Pink Floyd - Another Brick in the Wall to Orson - Word Up and Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire!
A fabulous night and an awesome showcase of all of our students face melting talent!!!
End of Year Showcase Concert, 29th June 2019
WOW WOW WOW!! We are bursting with pride after watching our students perform at The Place, Oakengates Theatre. Our biggest venue ever for our Showcase Concert, with the biggest audience yet. It would be only natural for the kids to be super nervous on such a huge stage and infant of such a massive crowd, but they were cool as cucumbers! They all played superbly, chilled and acting like rockstars! In fact, not acting like, they ARE rockstars!! They had a fantastic setlist of songs learnt throughout the year from classic rock, to funk, to heavy metal. The seniors were wonderful at supporting the younger kids in juniors, helping them with tuning their guitars, getting ready to go on stage, and calming nerves. We are so proud of each and every one of them!

Award Winners, 29th June 2019
All of our students are incredible, and choosing winners for the annual awards is always a very difficult task, but alas, winners must be chosen!
Huge congratulations to all the award winners, you ROCK!
